Can not play a new desktop message

I am using Groupwise 7.0 and desktop messaginging 4.04.04
and my new messages will not play. They just open as a text message. It as though the embedded player isn't there.

I have uninstalled and re-installed several times, The messages still play via MyCallPilot.

Any ideas? Also, the message will show up in my Callpilot Desktop Messaging folder and in my Mailbox 'Inbox' folder.
 
In addition, If I go to Options > CallPilot Desktop Messaging > and select 'Refresh Desktop Messaging List', then old voice mails that I have tried to delete numerous times keep re-appearing.
