Can not ping from one 2500 router to another

I don't know if it is a bad cable, a bad serial ports or a stupid tech.

I was going down Sybex CCNA Fast Pass lab and configuring my ip address on the serial connections. Entered the command "show ip route" and the connected serial routes did not show up. Re-entered the serial configuration commands on both computers still with no luck. Thought will maybe show ip route was not supported on a 2500 router. Went through some configurations using Learnkey and tried to ping the serial connections and could not ping them. After entering the no shut down command the interfaces show that they are up but then show that they are down.

The best thing to do is post a show run so that we can see how it is configured!

If serial interface is going up and going down - did you set the clock rate on the DCE side?
