Can not open FS group option in Device.

Hi i can not FSgroup or Groups in Device. The following error appears:

'Cannot start FSD group configuration!
Group property change requires all other activities (backup, restore etc) to be inactive.'

None of the other options (backups/restore) are opened. I have stopped all engines to see if this works.

I am having the same problem. What did you do to fix your issue?

Try stopping and restarting the job/tape/db engines.

Yes, restarting the engines is a workaround, but I am hoping to find a solution to this very frequent problem.

I found this thread while on hold with CA Support for the very same problem. I'll post the solution if I get one from them.

Well first off to run the Device Configuration utility the Tape Engine must be stopped, by default it will automatically stop it.
