Can not open Excel Doc.

I have a number of (PC Created) Excel 2000 documents stored on Apple Share Server. When I try and open them I get an "Out or memory or disk space" message.

If I copy the file to a PC desktop then it opens fine.

The apple server has 20Gb free and other office documents open fine. If I use a Mac with Mac office to open the file it opens fine. It's only when I use a PC to open the file stored on the MAc servers the problem happens.

Any ideas?
