i have a DELL Latitude LS model #PP01S and i am trying to install an operating system on it. this laptop does not have an internal cd or floppy drive, all i have is an external usb cd drive is there any way you can think of that i can get an operating system on this machine? thanks

thread751-756203 might be helpful for getting files onto drive - you can copy installation o/s installation files to the laptops's hard drive, and use sys C: to make it bootable (like a giant floopy) - you'll probably need other files from 98 boot floppy (eg, copy 98 boot flopy to drive too - and edit the autoexec.bat & config.sys to use C: rather than A) to enable you to be able to run install (which operating system?)
