can not install win2000!!!!!

I was trying to reinstall my OS. What I did was format all my drives and make C as a system disk. So I used win2000 CD to install OS. Everything was find during installation. When it finished, I need to reboot my PC, but problem was coming out: win2000 starts and goes to the screen of "windows 2000 Professinal, and the blue progress indicator...", when that blue progress ran to the end, the screen was just frozen. Other continued! I format my drive for couple of times and installed win2000 couple times, tried to use safe mode etc. to ... always got the same problem.

it was so frustrated. would you tell me what happened there?

I had something simialiar to your problem. Does the blue screen say something about Hardware failure at ..... and gives an memmory addresss location in hexadecimal?

If it does disable or remove all none essential hardware, modems, NICS, Sound card etc, and keep restarting and reinstalling each peice of hard until you find the peice of hardware with the issues. I had the same problem I installed 2000 Server and got the blue screen, 2000 professional was the same way, however I could install 98 just fine. Tech support told me that because I could install 98 but not 2000 it had to be a memory error. I replaced my memory and still had the same problem. It ended up that the modem was causing the issue. I replaced the modem and have not had a problem since.
