Hello,

I have downloaded a couple of programs from the internet. When I run the executable to extact the program it puts a .jar file in the directory. I have read every post, every tutorial on Sun and I still can not figure this out. I neeed to look at these programs for a Huge Project at school that is due tomorrow. Enclosed please find, environment variables, and the errors that I am getting:

C:\3DpiechartEval>java -version
java version "1.5.0_02" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_02-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_02-b09, mixed mode, sharing)

I also did an echo on my classpath
C:\Sun\java\jdk\lib\tools.jar;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08-rc\lib\tools.jar

Here are the errors I am getting and what my environment variables are:

C:\bfograph-1.1.6\bfograph-1.1.6>java -jar bfograph.jar
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from
bfograph.jar

or

C:\bfograph-1.1.6\bfograph-1.1.6>javaw -jar bfograph.jar

I get this error: Failed to Load Main-Class manifest attribute

Read the documentation of bfograph.jar.
Perhaps there is no manifest.

If you don't get a hint, extract it in an fresh directory:
Code:
jar -xf bfograph.jar
and search for a file MANIFEST.MF.
Is there a section 'Main-class:'?
