Tried to connect ingenico credit card machine to an analogue port on KTDA 100 with no joy. When i go to use the credit card machine it tell me that no line is connected/Line in use, but when i press redial on the credit card machine it works. Credit card company says that machine is not getting enough voltage from analogue extn. Anybody come across this.

try setting the Ingenico to "Blind Dial"
also try a different port, you may have a bad port(should be 36v)by the way the Ingenico derives its power from its power pack not the line

The card machine is looking for a dial tone. The panasonic unit tone first is a intercom tone . Use blind dial or not to detect tone on the card machine.

check/put the maschine direct to your port to avoid any bad wiring which are limiting voltage.

Thanks for the reply. I assume when you say blind dial it means that the credit card machine will dial weather a line is connested to it or no ie. not looking for dial tone voltage.
When i talked to the ingenico people they said it can not be done. Does anybody know how to program ingenico machine for blind dial.I think this will solve the problem. Many thanks

use pick up dail feature analog port will put you on
a 48volt dialtone RTFM

How will a -24 volt line go to -48v? I didn't see that in TFM.

HAVE THE CARD CO PROGRAM A DELAY DIALING OR A PAUSE EFORE DIAL OUT . tHAT WAY THE KSU HAVE TIME CHANCE FROM INTERCOM TO OUTSIDE LINE.

Here in Australia the various credit card and Banking machines all have different programming dependant on which bank or company they are working with.
generally all of the machines(I used to install and maintain them)will blind dial, talk to the service provder, not the machine manufacturer.

Set pickup dial in ext settings to 9 then set the pickup dial timer in system >timers to 0 rather than the default 1

Try putting a couple of ,,, between the line access number and the dialling string. is there a Telecom toll restriction on one of the trunks, or does one of the trunks have pin number toll bar from Telecom or Telstra? I have had systems where an eftpos may have access to multiple trunks and the system picks trunks cyclically, if the first trunk is toll barred it then picks anotherr trunk on th esecond try. another way is possibly changing th enumber the eftpos machine dials into the nac, In NZ I think there are 2 x nummbers 08797 & 1....(cant remember the second number)using the 1..... the system does not treat it as a toll call.
