Hello

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IIS first, and then reinstalled VS.Net with the .NET Framework.

When I am in VS.Net (The original version) and I try and start (run) a simple ASP.NET page via IIS, installed on my computer running Win XP Pro. I get an error message popping up telling me to make sure I belong to the "Debugger Users Group" (I am an administrator on my computer!)

I do not know exactly what to do to check this out, as I have just mensioned I am an adminstrator when I am logged into my computer, should that not give me all the rights on my computer anyway?

Interestingly if I start (run) the ASP.NET page "without debugging" the page is displayed correctly from IIS at localhost, the problem only occurs when I run the debugger

Have you got any more idea's please?

Thanks

Gary.

You can go to the User Accounts section in control panel, select your username and click properties. Change the account type to other and select Debuggers Group.

This may be slightly different depending on your OS.

Hello

I have gone where you told me and I am allready a debugger group member.

All this has happened since having Win XP Service Pack 2 added, and using the Win XP Firewall

Could the problem lie with the above and if so has anybody got any idea as to what the problem is?

Thanks

Gary.
