can not change the colors

Hi,

I don't know what has gone wrong with my photopshop 7. When ever I open a new canvas, My foreground and background colors in toolset come as black and grey. And I can not change it. neither radient works

You might open the Layers window and make sure that the layer you're working on is not locked

Forgive me if I sound too simplistic, but when you create a new canvas, do you select a colour mode. Could it be defaulting to greyscale.

Yes, I agree, make sure you are in RGB mode.

Or if that's not the problem have you tried the old standby of resetting your preferences?

Start PS then immediately hit CTRL + Alt + Shift.
If PS loads you will need to exit out and try again.

You most likely will have to try this a few times as you only have a few seconds to hit the Ctrl Alt Shift keys.

Answer the question to delete the preferences file YES

PS will rebuild the pref file to be as it was on delivery.
