Can not add user

I had a user that was added to the server. I had to delete his user account in active directory and recreate it. After doing that The user could not log into Business Portal...

I deleted the account from Site Settings-Users. I then tried to re-add the account and after choosing the roles and such I click finish and it gives me an error saying that the user cannont be added because it already exists...

I can't find the user anywhere...

We are using Business Portal for a front end to Solomon accounting...
 
I'm having a similar issue. We renamed our users in Active Directory to first initial-last name and when I try to go into Sharepoint to delete the old user id from the cross-site group(s) they're assigned to and then add their new user id, it comes back with the old ID!! WTF??

Weirdness.

 
Hello,

Are you running Windows SharePoint Services or SharePoint Portal Server?

If you are running SharePoint Services you might need to check under Site Settings -> Go to Site Administration -> View sitecolletion user information and delete the users from there aswell.

If you are running the Portal server you might have to update the Profile Database (perhaps also delete the old accounts from the profile database..however I am not sure of this)
