can not access to the internet

i have win 98
internet explorer 6
connection dial up, using modem
i have no network... is only one pc from my home...

i am connected to internet, i can send/receive mail with outlook express, but can not navigate or use the internet explorer, because, the explorer always try to connect to "206.128.135.xxx", and this direction is from my internet service provider.

i put the or hotmail.com, and press enter or go button, and the explorer in the status bar say "connecting to site 206.128.135.xxx", always, always, and not conect to anything, and get the error that the explorer can not connect to especific site....

i re-install the explorer to ie6, but, i get the same problem,

what have to do, or somebody have any idea what is the problem....

thak´s for any help or idea....

p.d.: the support center say that the account work fine in your installation usint the same configuration...
i restore the values from internet explorer and nothing...

True, some programs can take over your browser and not allow you to go anywhere but the site they want you to.


You can check for some spyware
Also you can check your startup items for hjacker programs
