I work on Mac OSX, I use Photoshop CS..... I recently installed Norton SystemWorks-Symantec on my computer. After the anti virus software had gone through my system I found many of my Photoshop files started to print out dark and muddy (I did not change or adjust anything). After going through everything (inlcuding tech help on my printer), I discovered that somehow in my "Print with Preview" under "File" section in the Color Management Section "Source Space had shifted from Document to Proof without my touching it, and the "Profile" in Print
Space underneath it had also been altered to a different source. This plays terrible havoc on color files. And then, many of my files, mostly from recent additions, were terribly damaged - I have to go through every single file to see if it has been shifted or not.
The other day I added a new external drive to my hard drive, and the Norton Anti Virus came on, went through my whole hard drive, and my other external hard drive and it was right after this i noticed that the damage had happened all over again. Is this a co-incidence? or can a programme such as nortons symantics damage files as I am suspecting at this time.
