i've just migrated to win2k... is norton speed disk for win2k able to optimize folders/directories on FAT32 volumes? i know that it's not possible to do so on NTFS, but i thought this was doable on FAT32? am i incorrect? i've tried to set it up, but speed disk for NT/2K has so many fewer options it seems than the win9x version...

I belive you should be able to do it on the FAT32 partition. You are correct. It will not work on the NTFS partition. I dont remember how to set it up. But if you read the Help file it should answer your question. James Collins

butchrecon:
the help file mentions stuff about using wildcards and \**\ or \*.*, but it's confusing and doesn't work as easily or clearly as doing the equivalent in the Win9x version. i still can't get it to work the way i think i want it to.

does the 30-day trial make the software expire after that? or does it just become nagware?

Not sure - we have a corporate license...
