I need to know if the IPLU card in an MX1 switch configured at BC13 can be set to initiate H323 trunk calls to another switch in H323 "Slow Start" mode.

By H323 "Slow Start" I mean that the media path is not set up at the same time as the initial call set up message.

At the moment the MX1 appears to employ H323 "Fast Start" with the media path and the initial call set up message within the same message.

The equipment to which the MX1 is connected via H323 is a Cisco 3925 router configured with Call Manager Express.

Grateful for feedback on the settings that can be employed on the MX1 to achieve H323 "Slow Start".

Many Thanks

I'm not sure that IP trunking between Cisco and a TSW will work.
I know its working between TSE and Cisco.

from TSW documentation:

Code:
The Fast Connect Procedure allows the endpoints to establish a basic point-to-point call with as few as one round-trip message exchange, enabling immediate media stream delivery upon call connection.

The calling endpoint initiates the Fast Connect procedure by sending a Setup message containing the fastStart element. The fastStart element is composed of OpenLogicalChannel structures describing media channels which the calling endpoint proposes to send and receive, including all of the parameters necessary to immediately open and begin transferring media on the channels.

The Fast Connect procedure allows two endpoints to setup a logical channel for media transmission without having previously setup the H.245 control channel. This procedure is available to H.323 v2 (and above) compliant endpoints.

The Fast Connect procedure is by default available between endpoints involved in the communication. This procedure can be optionally rejected by the end points involved in the communication, and the call is executed in normal call procedure.

there is no way to disable this from TSW side.
