Can maintenance ports be refreshed?

Hi, I am trying to identify all unused ports(Logical ID's) under: Maintenance/Port/Station/xxxx/Status. But when a phone has been plugged into the port and then unplugged the profile(set type) stays with the port untill another is plugged in(doesn't default to say "unequipped"). I'm wondering if there is a way to identify cross-connected ports with no sets, short of tracing all the wiring?
Thanxs.

One thing I do is voice announce digital sets, if it goes right to coverage it is either a port with no set plugged in or DND is enabled. If you get a busy then the ext was not assigned coverage. Then again, it's either no set plugged in or DND is enabled. You just can't do this for T/R ports. If you have a magix 1.5 or later you can test the digital port but it sounds like you don't. Good luck.

Thanks for trying "jinxs", it looks like there is no way of checking in programming without extensive tracing/testing, reason I am looking for this is I install these systems. A similar function to what I'm looking for, is "Port/DN Status" on a Nortel/Norstar. This function tells the user what DN is on the port and refreshes instantly.
Thanx

This is just a shot, but if you do a board renumber, will it update the type of sets plugged into the ports?

Even with a 'board renumber' or power cycle it still doesn't refresh the set status as "unequipped" it just leaves the last profile on, but thanks for the suggestion.
