Following on from a previous post, I need to keep lots of email accounts for users who have left. Is there a way to configure them so that the mailbox returns an undeliverable message.
I tried just removing their email address but this stopped me configuring other users outlook clients to view those email accounts.
Any suggestions ?

as I just posted on another thread..... Before we hide the mailbox, we set the Delivery Restrictions - Accept Messages From to be the mailbox that you are about to hide. Basically saying that this mailbox will only accept messages from itself therefore email sent to this mailbox would get an undeliverable message like:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test
Sent: 17/12/2003 14:34

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'user@domain.co.uk' on 17/12/2003 14:34
A restriction in the system prevented delivery of the message.
The MTS-ID of the original message is: blah blah

Works ok for us.
