Can junk email be stopped.

I get so much junk emails and I know I'm not the only one, I have setup some junk email filters in Outlook XP, but they just keep coming, I take it it's impossible thing to do eh?

Try Firetrust MailWasher. It lets you check what emails are sitting on the server before you actually download them. You can then delete any emails, blacklist the sender, and bounce them back. Then, when you open your email client, you only get the emails you have chosen. Eventually, you get a reduction in the number of Spam, as you bounce a lot of them. It has cut my spam down by about 30% so far.

Another good point is that you can potentially stop virus's before you even get to download them to your email manager. It also has a feature to check your email against an online database of known spammers to further reduce the amount of spam you receive.
