Is it possible to send a file to an FTP server from within Access without calling any separate processes (ie: an external FTP client)?
I've created a backup module, and would like the ability to store a copy of the backup on our FTP server. I would also like the ability to ping the FTP server to see if its alive, or try to connect 3 times before canceling. I do not want Access to flood the FTP server if there's a problem.
I am new to VBA, but from my understanding if we add a reference to possibly IE6, then maybe I can add FTP functionality right into my app? I'm sure someone here can point me in the right direction. Please help! Thanks!
