I have recently installed 10.1 with most recent patch and am now in the process of cusomizing the views and faults to be more usefull. The enviroment that we are installed in has a 10.96.238 network that is used for some managment functionality but is generally not reachable, especially from the NMS. Is there anyway to unmanage those specific interfaces on the various switches without unmanaging the whole device?

Thanks in advance.

Doug

To "unmanage" some links on a device, right click the device and select deviceview.
In deviceview expand the middle column and select one interface you want to be unmanaged, then in the “Admin” menu select “Monitor Options”, in monitor options deselect Supperping.
Repeat this for all interfaces you want to be unmanaged.
