Can Installation Manager be used on Citrix XPa any other alternatives?

IM can only be used with MetaFrame XPe, or as Installation Management Services (separate product) with 1.8.
There are alternatives, but I haven't tried any of them. Microsoft have Application deployment strategies and technologies;
What none of the alternatives can do is publish applications immediately after deployment.
