can iframe content access parent CSS?

I have a parent page with an iframe. The iframe source is an external web page- not on the same server as the parent page.

Is there a way to use the parent CSS inside the iframe content? I have tried several suggestions I found on the internet and none work so far.

Nope, there is no way. Iframe holds another page, so it would be weird if you could so easily control someone else's page. To get what you want, you would need to grab the other page and parse only the relevant information off of it. But that is outside the scope of this forum.

If you control both pages, then you can change the URL that the page in the IFRAME uses to get its CSS, as an external style sheet, to the one from the Parent site.
