Can I use Solaris 9 runtime libraries in RHEL3?

Hello all,
I would like to know if I can use Runtime libraries (like libsocket.so) obtained from a Solaris machine in a Red Hat Enterprise Server 3 directly. (maybe there is a problem with little/big endian, or another kind).
Do i need new versions (adapted to RHEL3) of all the libraries to be used in my applications?
