I have Sniffer Pro running on my Win2K pc, it works on the LAN card fine. However, I'd like to use it to look at traffic over my ISDN card which is running PPP, is this possible?

I've looked through the various drivers provided with the package, nothing suitable as far as I can see.

Hi,

Sniffer can handle PPP and related traffic, however, NOT with your current hardware.
To measure direclty on the ISDN link you need a hardware solution from NAI calles the Sniffer book (ultra). With this snifferbook you can buy modules, for example in your case an ISDN module.

Robert

I've seen those modules, but what I wanted to do was to bind the sniffer protocol driver to the PPP driver, whuch runs over my pc's isdn card.

When I use the PC to dial up to an ISP I want to run the sniffer package as well, so I can look at traffic over that link. I've done this with other analysers, but not with sniffer pro.

I am afraid that is not possible with the current sniffers. Previous releases running in win98 were able to snif a (analog) dail up (DUN) connection, current versions don't
