Can I use Copy instead?

I run ArcServeIt 6.61, my HP DAT drivw is dying I think. I get lots of media errors even with new tapes. Drive is making a loudish noise from time to time.

I was thinking of using the Copy option in ArcServe to back to Storage computer on the Network. Any issues with this?

Not that I can see. Go for it. Only issue is that it will be a copy only.

Even though its a copy to another Server on the Network, if I need to restore a file, I should be able to retrieve from the copy, is this correct?

It wouldn't be a restore per say. It would only be a copy back.
