Can I use an Imac restore disc on a beige PowermacG3?

I am having some issues on a powermacG3 that may push me to extreme measures (wiping HD). Can I use this Imac restore disc for DV models on the beige G3? Or will the hardware differences cause it to reject the install? The operating system is 9.x in both cases, so that is good, I hope.

Its possible but unlikely.

Had it been a system install disk then It may weel work but as its a restore disk the software amy look for certains specs uch as the installed hd size before it installs.

You could try it to find out vbut as always backup any critical data first !!
