I am working really hard on a report that needs the results from many queries to populate its controls. Can I write a function for the control's ControlSource that retrieves a query's results?

Yes you can. DMax(), DLookup(), D..() will retrieve single values from queries/tables. You could also write your own function to retrieve values.
