Can I use a .mdb file in my program without having Access installed?

I am just a little confused here! I need to use a database in my program, but dont want to restrict it to only people with Access installed on their system. I have been looking at the controls available and am very confused as one or two of them seem to be database type structures. <br><br>Thanks for any help, or pointers to relevant articles!!<br><br>Chris MacPherson
