Hi!

I have a problem with a transactionlog that grows/fills to rapidly. My question is: Can I in any way turn of the logging to the transactionlog? The data in the database is not of a cruisal type, what I mean is that I do not have the need to backup this DB.

Right now I must truncate the transactionlog on regular basis, I hope I could get away from that by turning of the logging, is it possible?

Regards David

Set the trunc. log on chkpt. database option to TRUE. SQL Server runs checkpoints automatically so the log will be automatically truncated.

You can use the sp_dboption stored procedure or Enterprise Manager to set the option.

sp_dboption 'dbname', 'trunc. log on chkpt.', true Terry L. Broadbent
