can I turn a folder into a web?

I know I can use the filesystemobject to create a folder. Is there a way in ASP to turn the newly created folder into a frontpage web?

I would think there is a way, because you can admin your IIS with a web page, check the MS web site.

This is perhaps just a tangentially related thought but some shared Web hosts like

let you point various domain names to various folders in one account.

What I'm trying to to is have an administrative application create new webs(virtual directories?) as subwebs of the application.
