Can I suppress a group header if I have no details?

Dear All:

We have a crystal report where I need to suppress the group header if there are no details records available. Can anybody let me know how do I do it ?

This is not difficult. Assuming that you're doing a left-join to a table that contains the detail information, you could do something like the following:

1. Right-click on the gray area to the left of the group header and select the Section Expert.

2. Click on the formula button to the right of the Suppress checkbox (DO NOT check the checkbox!)

3. Type in a formula that looks something like this:

IsNull({detail_table.detail_id})

This will suppress the group if there are no details.
