i have hundreds of web pages that are excel spreadsheets containing daily figures.
these pages need to be archived for later retreval.
i was thinking of putting their html code into a mysql database but was unsure if this would work and if it would use less harddrive space than just putting all of the files into an archive directory...

any tips ?

storing the HTML code in a text field would work but you would have a lot of trouble escaping all < ? > " ' etc.. when you want to auto-generate the page with any server-side language.

I think Sleipnir214 way is way easier.
