Can I store an array to a sesson variable? 1

Dumb question probably, but is it possible to store an array of items to a session variable so I can compare the items from screen to screen?

yes, you can store an array in a session variable, but it stores it as a string, so if you need to use it as an array in subsequent pages, you need to redefine it in an array variable. or do a string compare on the session variable.

and i don't believe you can store a multi-dimensional array in the session variable, only single dimensional (since it treats it as a string).
