Can I stop Active Desktop AutoRefresh from drawing focus??

I’m currently using Active Desktop on Win98se. The php webpage it is displaying is setup to refresh every five minutes. When it refreshes, it draws focus from the current window/app in which I am working. On the refresh of Active Desktop, doesn’t close or minimize the window/app, it just makes it inactive. This forces me to stop what I’m doing and hit alt+tab or click in the window. Does anyone know how to remedy this with settings in Win98 or in the refresh code of the php webpage? It really is a big pain.
