Hi,
Here's the situation.
We have an MICS 7.0, using 8 POTS lines. We also have a NAM for voicemail.
We have a separate office that handles shipping, which is equipped with a single POTS line and a regular analog phone. We'll call this line 555-0123.
I've successfully gotten Link Transfer (SBC/AT&T calls the requisite service "Call Transfer Disconnect") to work from our CCR tree to transfer callers to the outside number when they choose the option for shipping. (This was accomplished by selecting Pool 1/A and using #5550123# as the phone number.)
My remaining problem is that because usually our CCR tree is usually not used--our receptionist answers the calls--we still don't have an elegant way to transfer calls over there. I think it's too much to ask her to have to dial (Feature,) 71, 555-0123, (Feature), 71 all every time someone calls.
What I'm looking for is, what's the most elegant way to let her transfer calls, using link transfer, to that outside number, without dialing a lot of things.
Even better would be a solution that also gives us a virtual DN or something, that we can dial here in the office and ring the shipping phone.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts,
-Dan
