Can I set someone else up as chair of a meeting I book?

Is it possible to set up a meeting where I can designate the chairperson (ie it's not me), without being a delegate?

I'm using Notes v5.0.8

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Not with your own mailbox unless you change the design to allow you to change the chair field.

Maybe you can use a common mailbox and use a special account for creating meetings?

Notes was never designed to schedule meetings for other persons. They presumed that everyone would book his own meetings.

I believe it's possible if you have delegate rights.

I was hoping to avoid needing hundreds of people to give me that level of access....

You could create an agent (Refresh Chairperson) that could update the fields:
Modify field 'Principal': Set to 'user/abc/domain' Modify field 'Chair': Set to 'user/abc/domain'
Then you could create an action button and place it within the Calendar view. This will allow you to update the necessary fields.

Can you give me sample code/macro etc for this?

I'm not sure I have the required access..(Add Action button not present on my create agent screen)

Send me an email and I will create the agent for you. I will send you a small .nsf that contains the agent within the Agent view (open in Designer, copy and paste between the DBs).
