Example: I have tracking # that shows up in Invoice Inquiry but I can not tell what table/field is storing it.

I just found out that this number is not being stored in SO19 or SO38 when the shipping/invoice info is entered through Invoice Data Entry. If it is entered through Shipping Data entry it is in the SO39 table.

Weird thing, I can see the tracking info on the invoice no matter how it was entered, BUT if I go through, Crystal, Excel or SQL to view the table... no dice. Since I can always see the tracking# in summary package tracking inquiry, it must be stored somewhere. I can not find it.

Anyone know how to extract this data?

Thanks

I got it... I forgot SO19 was a temp file... AR19 has the info.

But I still would like to know how to go from the MAS screen and see what field it is grabbing from what table.

I know little about costumizer.

The Technical Reference and Support Guide, TRSG, CD has that information under cross reference by program. Technically the data is stored in SO19 during invoice data entry. When the invoice is updated it is updated to AR19

I am all about the TSRG, but people who were here before me did many customizations and set up UDFs...

It would save me a bunch of time if I could just click on a field in customizer and see what that field connects to.

FOr instance, I have 3 cancel date fields set up in sales order (they were for different reports - don't ask why... I already did) anyway, it wopuld have saved me time to see where these were pointing to.

Make sense?

If these are UDFs then the data is coming from the UDF table or if it is 4.10 then the data entry table itself.
