I am looking for a product or a procedure that would allow
me to scan in a printed form and associate fields in the form to fields in the database to create a Crystal Report. Is this possible or am I dreaming?

Gary

You can open the image and UNDERLAY it
(underneath the following report sections).

This would allow you to position the fields
appropriately.

Hi,

you can scan anything to word, paint, etc, and cut and paste any images held in the document directly to your crystal report.

If you drop a complete a4 word page into your report section, you can overlay the field values directly on the same section, to ensure that the positioning is right.

Once satisfied you can move the picture image to its own section for clarity.

Hth,
Geoff

If you do decide to use an underlay image, is there a preferred image format and scan resolution that will ensure the image file is the right size when added to the report?

Thanks in advance
Grant

Scan your image at 72 dpi - it'll come very very close.
