Can I run VB apps on linux

Hi

Does anybody know If I can run my apps that I have wrote using Microsoft development tools, on a linux box. Will the setups run and will the components and executables be supported.

Theoretically, if you wrote these programs using standard Windows API methods, then they should be able to run on Linux using Wine (

http://www.winehq.org).

Wine is an open-source implementation of the Windows API.

Generally the programs that have the most trouble running under Wine are those produced by Microsoft themselves, since they have more access to Windows internals than most programmers. -------------------------------------------

Lets not forget that StarOffice / OpenOffice has an implementation of everyone's favorite (?!) - VBA . Having said that, I'm not sure that its going to recognise ado (or similar) references in code but I could be wrong. See -->

i'm running vb-apps written by my collegue and found out that they're running quite fine with wine (though more cputime than under windows)
