Hello All,

I want to run solaris 2.7 OS as a 32 bit operating System.I checked up with following command and and found following output.

isainfo -v
64-bit sparcv9 applications
32-bit sparc applications

IS any process to run Solaris 2.7 OS in 32 bit?

Regd,
Ajay

You should get an option to include 64-bit support when installing Solaris 7. If you don't want it, don't select it. Hope this helps.

To boot into 32 bits mode
login in as root:
/usr/sbin/eprom boot-file="kernel/unix"
The next system reboot will boot the 32-bit kernel

If you are at the ok prompt:
ok> setenv boot-file kernel/unix
then reset and boot
