Our office has just hooked up cable modem. All our outlook is configured to the DSL account, and the boss doesn't want to have to change his email. Is the a way to run the DSL router thru the same router and then into the hub? The linksys router has an uplink port.

Thanks

Ohhh eck!

Not normally no, TBH.

Question: Your bosses email, it that handled by the ISP that provides the DSL? or is it internal?

If your email account is through a different ISP you should be able to still retrieve email if you're using a POP3 account. The only exception will be the configuration on the SMTP. That is the way that you send mail out. Some ISPs will block senders that don't have a particular IP address. This is to prevent spamers from using their servers from sending email. Since you've switched to a new ISP, you will have an IP address that your DSL account will not recognize and will not send mail for you. So what you will have to do is use your new ISP's SMTP server to send your email.

For example.
DSL account info:
email: user@earthlink.com
POP3: mail.earthlink.com
SMTP: mail.earthlink.com

Cable account info:
email: user@comcast.net
POP3: mail.comcast.net
SMTP: smtp.comcast.net

Outlook configuration:
email: user@earthlink.com
POP3: mail.earthlink.com
SMTP: smtp.comcast.net

You can keep your old email address from your DSL provider and still retrieve email from them, but when sending you will have to send through your new ISP smtp server. Hope this helps.
