I need to replace the entire BCM. Currently have 3.7 software version, two PRI MBM's, and 2 DSM32 MBM's. Contact center is in use with 25 agents. Is there a migration from the 3.7 to the 4.0? I have done many inplace upgrades from software version 3.7 to 4.0, but never a total replacement. I want to avoid programming this from scratch. At least I don't want to lose my Callpilot and Contact center setup. Any ideas?

I am trying to get this new BCM ready, and just swap cables and be done with it. Maybe I am a dreamer?

Thanks

You cannot restore a 3.7 backup to 4.0 bcm. In this case you have to upgrade from 3.7 4.0 then do a backup and restore it to your new bcm 4.0.

good idea. I have the upgrade keycode already, so that is a great thought.

Thanks

Noop, this should be pretty easy. Just do your upgrade to 4.0, do another backup, migrate the keycodes to the new BCM system ID unless you purchased new ones, replace the BCM, load the migrated keycodes, restore your backed-up database, load patches. Remember that you will have to return the MSC board to Nortel or they'll bill you for the migrated keycodes.
