Can I resize the Java placeholder?

Hello,

Moving from Frontpage to Dreamweaver this week has been great. Lots of new possiblities and MUCH quicker editing with Fireworks in the mix. However, I've run into a simple problem that can be worked around, but I'm just curious....

I have two Java apps that are 28 pixels in height. I insert each into a unique cell within a complex mass of cells as part of the larger picture. I set the apps and cells to be 28 pixels, yet the Java icon in the WYSIWYG is 32 pixels tall. Therefore, my cell is automatically expanded to 32 pixels and can't be shrunk (through WYSIWYG)! Everything below shifts and really makes a mess of the table.

The workaround is simply to edit the html cell heights to 28 and ignore the WYSIWG (as it would still indicate the now incorrect 32 pixel height). But, with the cells shifted, the graphical editor becomes almost useless.

The question is: Can I resize, replace, or simply turn off the Java placeholder (icon, logo, gray bar cup-o'java)?

Thanks in advance for your help and for all the tips you've passively provided through your previous responses.

Greg
