Can I remove a PRI card from an 81c whithout any negative effects? I need to see if it has a daughter board and I cant without pulling it out.

You can as long as the loop(s) are disabled (LD 60) for that card. Also make sure that this is not the circuit providing timing to other T1 circuits in your PBX

two things to note, the lamps.. if the dch or clk lamps are green or amber, dis the cc or msdl daughter board.. disl the loop is 60.. i've seen an ini due to disl x the loop the 96 dis dch x, out the card.. the problem was dis msdl 4 all.. that would kill the msdl daughter board.. bad news there was that msdl had a d for both local and ld.. switch ini's mail stayed down ld stayed down...

Thanks John,
I was just going to stat the loop and yank the card glad I didnt.

if you don't disable the msdl in LD 96 that baby will ini

I would dis dch XX in 96
disl XX in 60
dis msdl xx in 96 (make sure you have the correct MSDL)
flip the face plate switch on the card itself to disable
and your good to go

good luck

It's only dialtone-VZ
