In an attempt to load a new opperating system, I performed an FDISK. This apparently worked. However, I was not able to perform the next step to FORMAT the hard drive due to an error that said not the same media.

NOW, I realized I hadn't removed everything from the hard drive that I needed to get off from the C:\ (root) level. I had removed everything from my documents.

Is there a way to recover the data?

Desperately needing help.

oomox,

I can email you the free drive rescue (now replaced as you'll see if you go to site with Filerecovery - which is only free in demo form) if you want.

Sorry it took me so long to request this, but I would appreciate it if you could send me the recover software you mentioned.

Thanks,
