On our windows 2000 server we have a piece of software that each time the program is opened another licenses is put into use. I can see who has open licenses by going into ‘Computer Management’ and ‘Open Files’ and look for a file named like MVRMIX.XXX.
Rather than doing all of this, I’m looking for an easier way like a MS Assess query or a Crystal Report I could run from my desktop. Is this possible?
If this can’t be done, I would like to know if there is another way to check for open files on the server from my desktop rather than remoteing into the server.
Thanks
Bennie
