I must install a 2008 server but can purchase only 2012 license.
I've ever heard that when you purchase certain windows version, you can install that version and all the former versions. But never did it on the move.
moreover, I know that if I purchase a VLK license, I can activate it on a "old" windows version, via phone or online, but not sure if OEM allows me to do that too.
the HW will be a HP server, that should be seamless.
Would someone of you with experience give me a hint?
