Hey anyone know if it is possible to play a flash movie on a DVD Player or if the movie could be converted to format playable on a DVD.

It seems Director could but to DVD-ROM only...
(In that sense... Most probably Flash too!)

According to this info:

Can Director create a DVD-ROM or a DVD-Video?
Just like a CD-ROM, a DVD-ROM can hold any kind of data, therefore Director movies can be put onto a DVD-ROM. Director itself cannot actually burn a DVD-ROM. You will need DVD-ROM burning software and hardware for your computer in order to put your Director movie onto a DVD-ROM.

DVD-video format is different from a DVD-ROM. Director does not have an export option for DVD format.

Please refer to Director and DVD (TechNote 13466).

You could try exporting your finished movie as a QuickTime file. Then, in an app such as Cleaner 5 or Vegas Video, transcode that file into MPEG 2 format before burning it to DVD.

Dunno if it works but it seems like it should: I've had a lot of success using QuickTime exports from Flash burned to CD for client presentations and kiosk ads, the transcode should be relatively easy. Of course if I could afford a DVD burner I'd try out and tell you for sure :)
