I am designing a form in MS Word 2003. I'm trying to place two tables next to each other, and having no luck at all. I've tried copying/pasting, moving and so on, but get awful-looking results.

I'd love to be able to place tables next to each other, so that the form doesn't have so darn much empty space.

It would be great if someone would help this frustrated form maker. Thanks in advance!!

Cheat.

Make one table that spans the entire width of the page. Include one more column than you need - in the middle. Play with lines and borders so the middle column has none.

Voila! You appear to have two tables.

Way eaiser than columns.

eyec,

Thanks for the advice. How would I go about setting the tables up in columns? Also, how doo I go about setting up columns part-way down the page, since I already have the ptop part of the page set up as other form items?

Thank you also, however, that would not make my table data entry "flow" the way I want. It would flow from row 1 of table 1 to row 1 of table 2, then to row 2 of table1 and then to row 2 of table 2 and so on. What I want is row 1 of table 1, row 2 of table 1, row 3 of table 1, then to row 1 of table 2, row 2 of table 2, then row 3 of table 2.

In any case, thank you to the both of you for responding...I appreciate it and look forward to your replies!

insert both Tables, one after the other, then hilite (click and drag your mouse over both)both tables and click on Columns make sure the Section Break is inserted after you select columns to get back out of columns.

eyec,

Your suggestions worked! Thank you so much for your help!
