I use to have the capability to open .class files and modify them. But now I moved to a new computer. How can I open them with Microsoft Visual Studio?

You should be able to associate the .class file type in windows explorer to open in whatever editor you want.

I get an error when trying to open it. it reads...
The this.class is not a valid Win32 application

If you right click on the file and choose open with and select Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2002. Does that work?

I have Microsoft Development Environment 6.0 (MSE.EXE),which I think use to open .class files.
The other error I get reads...
Invalid parameters on command line

Do you have Microsoft Visual C++ installed as part of the visual studio?

When I open the .class file that is the app that opens for me.

hth

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\IDE\IDE98\MSE.EXE"
It looks like I don't have C++

the exe running msvc++ is msdev.exe in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\MSDev98\Bin
